Michele L. Donato, M.D.
Michele L. Donato, M.D., has been a clinician and researcher in stem cell transplantation for the past 10 years since completing her fellowship in medical oncology at the renowned M.D. Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas. M.D. Anderson has the largest stem cell transplantation program in the world, and while there Dr. Donato specialized in using the treatment for patients with many different types of cancer, including lymphoma, leukemia, melanoma, and ovarian cancer. She has brought her expertise in stem cell transplantation and photopheresis (the use of ultraviolet light to engineer disease-fighting T cells to fight autoimmune disorders, including graft-versus-host disease) to The Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center. Dr. Donato is continuing her research in photopheresis and stem cell transplantation to treat ovarian cancer and other cancers at The Cancer Center.
